U.S. Rejects Current Draft of EU Code of Conduct For Outer Space Activities
The U.S recently rejected the current draft of EU
code of conduct. This means the us will not be signing onto the current draft
of EU code of conduct for outer space activities. Ellen Tauscher who is undersecretary
of state of arms said that administration was not going to sign it from the
beginning. Richard buenneke, senior advisory for space policy for the US
department of state updated the STOWG on the review of the code. Any intentions
to sign it in 2012 where left to change when the U.S announced that later in
2011 that it would refrain from signing the code until an undetermined time.
